Shift Cover: Book Industrial Technicians by the Shift
Shift cover is a FindFST mission type for covering shifts at an industrial plant: maintenance, electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled. There is no single machine to fix and no photo to upload. The company posts the shifts, verified field service technicians apply, and both sides agree directly.
The main difference from an on-site mission is the price. The company sets the hourly rate and technicians apply at it. No quotation, no negotiation.
How it works
1. Post the shift. Pick the discipline, set the hourly rate and the shift length (1 to 24 hours), and choose the dates. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays can be left out. The FindFST AI Engine drafts the title and description from the machines at the address, the categories and the shift pattern.

2. Technicians apply. Each one picks the days they can cover on a calendar, the full run or part of it. A technician can message you first to agree the days.

3. Confirm and pay. Approve an applicant and pay up front. The technician logs hours shift by shift, you approve them, and the final settlement uses the approved hours.

What it costs
Rate x hours per shift x shifts, plus a flat 6% platform fee (10% if you mark the mission urgent). For example, €70 an hour for five 8-hour shifts is €2,800 to the technician and a €168 fee, €2,968 in total. The technician keeps 100% of the rate you set.
Site requirements and reports
Site requirements carry over from your company profile, and you can limit applications to insured technicians. Photos can go on each shift's timesheet, and extra costs such as parts need your approval first. The technician writes a mission report, as on any other mission.
“Covering a shift is a different problem to fixing a machine. The company already knows the rate it can pay and the hours it needs. So it sets them, and the technician who wants the work applies at them.”Neal Wareing, Founder and CEO of FindFST Sàrl
Posting is free, and you only pay when you confirm a technician. Post a shift at findfst.com/shift-cover, or read the shift cover guide.
