Remote Missions: Fix PLC and Drive Faults Without the Travel
A remote mission has the same structure as an on-site one: one machine, briefed and quoted up front, and a written record at the end. The difference is that the field service technician works over a connection you provide. It is often the same day, and nothing is charged for travel that never happened.
What suits remote work
- PLC and HMI logic, timers and alarms
- Drive and servo parameters
- Recipe and configuration problems
- Backups, restores and version comparison
- Talking your own staff through a procedure
- Diagnosis ahead of a site visit
Some work still needs someone on site: mechanical repair, wiring, physical measurement, and commissioning that needs checks on the machine. So does any machine with no remote access.
How it works
1. Post the mission. Select the machine, name the software platform as well as the skill, and describe the fault. The FindFST Engine drafts the description from your notes and photos, and you add the connection details.

2. Compare quotes. Technicians quote hourly or a fixed price. With no travel involved, more specialists can take it on.

3. Connect and pay. Approve a quote, and the technician joins the session, often the same day.

Access stays private
Your IT and OT policies come first. Credentials go only in the connection field, which only the assigned technician can see.
If it needs a visit after all
A remote session ends one of three ways: solved, diagnosed so the on-site brief is tighter, or a cause ruled out. The same technician can then be invited to the on-site follow-up.
The company pays a flat 6% platform fee on top of the quote, and the technician keeps 100%.
“A lot of faults turn out to be a drive parameter or a timer someone changed. Finding that over a connection costs a lot less than finding it after a flight.”Neal Wareing, Founder and CEO of FindFST Sàrl
Posting is free, and you only pay when you approve a quote. Post a remote mission, or read the remote missions guide.
