Machine down, no signals to the HMI, Profibus communication not working.

First question I ask to the maintenance guys: "What work has been done?" Customer had replaced one of the motors... Changing a motor shouldn't affect comms. Motor limit switch cover had been re installed and wire trapped in between the casing causing this short. Same 24V used for the WAGO modules (bad practice) making a short and the entire Profibus network to come down. First question always: what changed.
